My choral group is gearing up for one kick-ass concert in May. It's our 30th anniversary and our conductor's last concert with us, so we're going out with a bang. We're getting together with his other group to do the Brahms German Requiem, the Beethoven Choral Fantasy, and a world premiere of a new work.

Shameless Begging:
My group is already in the financial doldrums (no crisis yet, but our reserves are declining year-to-year) and this is going to be an expensive concert to put on. As part of our fundraising this year we are participating in the Walk for Music which takes place Sunday, April 30 in Boston. I'm walking along with several others from my group, and I could really use as many folks to sponsor me as I can get. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated, and it will help our group continue to operate.
Our group is unique in that it is totally non-auditioned yet we manage to do justice to serious major works year after year (past programs have included Dido and Aeneas, the Bach and Rutter Magnificats, and the Mozart Requiem just to name a few.
