Patience is a virtue
Apr. 14th, 2004 01:10 amSometimes you just have to wait a bit...
Today the toothache is gone. Yesterday I called the dentist and he called in a Rx for antibiotics; the first couple of doses beat the infection back to where it doesn't hurt anymore. Yay! I can eat again! No, I'm not stupid -- I'll finish the antibiotics, of course. Oh, and I have to see an endodontist too. This is in a tooth I already had a root canal in, so he wants a specialist to take a look at it and see if they missed something the first time. What's funny is, the dentist himself is having the first root canal of his life at age 62; he's sending me to the same orthodontic practice he's using himself. I take that as a good sign :)
Got a belated birthday present too: I came home today to find that Tam and a friend had un-buried the piano and cleaned out the room it was in... I'd started *really* missing the chance to play! When I came home they were beaming over their handiwork, and there was a card and a birthday cheesecake sitting on the piano for me :) They'd also gotten a whole bunch of fresh berries to accompany the cheesecake, and they asked if I'd make my signature passion-fruit cream sauce to spoon on top. Tam said "I feel bad making you do this", my answer was "Hey, for me having a chance to cook is a present in itself!".
Oh, and I fixed a nasty bug at work today.
Almost makes up for all the nasty weather...
