Why does it have to be living *or* dead? Can't I invite Schroedinger's cat to the party?

It's "logical or" rather than "exclusive or". "Or" returns "true" if either condition is true, and also if BOTH conditions are true.

The interesting thing would be to invite someone who was neither living nor dead.
