LJ UI changes?

Am I doing something "wrong"? I'm not seeing any of the LJ UI changes that people seem to be bitching about. Are they rolling it out in stages, or have they rolled them back, or what? Right now my experience is as it always was...

The main change that I see is that when I look at a comment page that has folded comments, I can expand them all by clicking one checkbox and then one button at the bottom of the page. And this no longer requires a Paid Account.

It's ugly, hard to read, missing things and you can't opt out. why does LJ always try to fix things that aren't broken.

Release is here. The other post about it has over 8000 comments and none that I have read like the changes.

The changes seem to be limited to those who don't use custom pages for replies. (Like anyone with an S2 style.) So, I don't see the changes in yours but I do see them in mine. If you force other journals' comments pages to your own style, you won't see the changes, either.
