An invitation, and a facebook question...

jim_pFirst the invitation: My shop, Baldwin Hill Art & Framing, is holding its Fall Reception this Thursday evening, Septemer 24, from 5-8PM in downtown Natick,, MA. The full invite can be found here, and directions to the shop can be found here. We will also be holding a gallery talk the following Thursday, October 1, at 7PM; invite to follow.
Now the facebook question: I tried to post this invite as a Facebook event and had no end of trouble. After creating it for the first time it brought me right back to my home page when I hit "submit"; after the second time it *seemed* to take but didn't bring up the page to let me invite people.
Today when I went looking for the event sometimes it was there and sometimes it wasn't.
I've been told that Facebook has been "flaky" lately, but is there any detailed description and/or discussion of just WTF is going on? I've been told that it's been doing this for about two weeks now; any idea if/when they can resolve the problem?
