If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you. Or, if you don't want to post it, but want a memory from me, say so at the end of your comment and I'll reply with one. But consider posting. It's fun to see what comes up.

One of my favorite memories was at the Dunkie's one sunny afternoon when we were either picking up or dropping off lights. We had a nice, relaxed conversation about learning skills and life in general. It real stuck with me.

Going into your bedroom with you to retrieve Myrtle from your bed. Poor kitty, you did such a good job with her.

(which reminds me, now that I am Spook-less, Naku needs a friend. As she is reminding me every time I see her, and she only has a one-word meow vocabulary: MWAAA!!!!! very loudly and repeatedly...)

The relief I felt when you volunteered to help in the art show! You were a gift that weekend.

I remember being in the music department with you at Somerset High. You were playing the french horn, I think. We weren't typical band people, as we were both a bit nerdy. I used to get weird looks and teased because I enjoyed talking to you. We were friends. Back then, and in high schools today, people judge others by who they talk to...it's so stupid! I am glad that I found you...I am going to find you on facebook, too, and add you back to my friends list. This is Rosalyn Gold...married in 1985 to Gary Wolfe, also from SHS.

Roz!!!! (*big hug for a long-lost friend*)

So nice to hear from you! I've lost touch with so many folks...

Yes, I remember you very well... actually my first memory of you is in Mr. Maloof's middle-school science club.

I wonder if the high-school social dynamic is any different these days... are there still kids who were as outcast as I was? As you saw, I wasn't just outcast, I was *radioactive*... just associating with me could get you a hard time.

To be fair, I'm now realizing that I brought a bunch of it on myself in many ways, but I didn't know any better at the time...

And yes I'm still playing the french horn :)

Take care, and say hi to gary for me!
