Poor Mickey

Mickey, the rabbit that i'd been talking about lately in my journal, died today. This was somewhat unexpected because except for his lack of mobility he was in generally excellent health. He went off his feed yesterday and I knew something was up. Today I checked in on him just before I had to leave for an evening appointment; still not eating. On the way back from that appointment I stopped at a late-night supermarket to pick up his mostest-favoritest treat (Wasa crispbread) to see if that would coax him into eating and give him a bit of strength. Instead when I got in he was already gone.

It's not been a good week for animals... the fishtank also went out of balance and I lost three fish in the past week. I did a lot of testing, water-changing, filter-changing, and the like and it seems to be better now.

I just realized that I now have three dear departed pets in among my userpics; two cats and now the rabbit.
