My neighbor called yesterday... she said that she was too sick to pick up her farmshare and do anything useful with it, so she said we could pick it up and use it ourselves. It included six ears of corn, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, potatoes, carrots, wax beans, and peppers. The bell peppers were one to a customer, the hot peppers were as many as you wanted.

To return the favor, I turned the acorn squash into squash soup and sent some over to her. She wants the recipe :)

Except for the habanero, the "hot" peppers were anything but. Must be the climate. Julienned them and into the pickling jar they went.

Even the habanero was milder than some jalapenos I've met...

Apropos of my previous post: if you accidentally rub your eye after mincing up hot peppers, rubbing your eye with olive oil provides much-needed relief...
