Saturday: Went over to visit [livejournal.com profile] koshmom and help her with some painting. She had a small spot where the roof of the addition meets the house that she couldn't reach from ladders and pretty much needed you to stand on the roof to do it. I at first offered the use of my cherry picker for the job, but that proved un-roadworthy when I went to get it out of mothballs. Plan B was for me to just come over and see what I could do. I've done various bits of work on roofs before, but I'm no professional. Still, I apparently have more "roof legs" than she does. It took me a while, but I eventually found sitting positions on the roof that let me get to all the spots that needed priming. While it was only a small patch as these things go, the shingles were so badly weathered that it was a lot of work getting them primed. I almost wish I'd brought my paint sprayer, but then you'd have to deal with overspray.

I was rewarded with dinner at the Outback. She promises me sushi if I come by and do the finish coat tomorrow :)

In other news: biked 10.2 miles on the Nashua River rail-trail. My second time out; I did 8 miles last week. Keep this up and maybe I'll graduate to hills at some point :)
