I give up...

So I come to the conclusion that there's nothing I can do for my fingernails that will protect them against the kinds of insults I visit upon them when doing home improvements or repairing snowblowers or whatnot. I begin to despair of ever playing classical guitar at this rate, when I learn that the great Fernando Sor himself played with fingertips, not nails. In fact, the whole conceit about playing with nails is a relatively recent phenomenon, started by Andres Segovia when he wanted to be able to play in large concert halls.

So now I've started learning again, while trying to translate the fingernail-speak of all currently-available learning materials into fingertip practice...

Might as well hang me for treason...

...I made a big batch of French toast for breakfast today.
