So where *am* I?

If you wonder why I haven't checked in lately, it's because of this damned house. Specifically, we're pushing to make it market-ready by next spring. The exterior is largely done, but there's a buttload of interior work to do over the next several months (rework in the living room, finishing kitchen & baths, back hall to finish, lots of walls to strip wallpaper and repair plaster on, lots of woodwork to work on, couple of walls to insulate). Basically if we're not doing anything else we're working on the house. This house has controlled and overshadowed our lives for such a long time it's time to give it one final push before shoving it out of our lives...

Folks are welcome to come lend a hand, of course... Bribes negotiable :) I'm afraid that my resolution to Get Out More is going to be back-burnered until spring, however...

You know, I'm quite good at this by now. A weekend work party might make a nice way to see you guys socially, with dinner afterward.

Well, you've already been too kind to us on the construction front, but we'd be happy to have both help and a chance to see you! We also got offers of help from my niece and nephew, who're going to college in the area... the current plan is for Tam & I to finish up one room and make it nice & comfy so there's a good place to hang out, then we'll feel better about having folks over to work on the rest. We'll be in touch!
